Whether you’re starting out or new to hitting the gym, one of the biggest questions for guys is how to get big muscles. We want muscles that attract chicks from the opposite end of a room. We want muscles that make an L-size shirt look and feel tight. We want muscles so big that we went enter a room, we have a “You could mess with me… but it’s not a good idea” attitude. However, if you’re a skinny guy, having that rock, solid body frame may just be a dream almost out of reach. Here are some newbie tips that will help you start the fuel.
How to Get Big Muscles Tip #1 – Consistency, Consistency, Consistency…
I don’t care if you see any results after 4 weeks, you don’t quit. I don’t care if it’s been 2 months and you still look the same, you have to keep on going. I don’t care if you’re too tired to wake up in the morning, you will still go to the gym and workout. If you want results, you have to be consistent. Most newcomers who get into the gym and get all hyped up, work their butts off for the first month (I’ve been there). After a while, they get either overconfident or disappointed… then after a couple months, they get lazy and end up forgetting the gym all together. Don’t let this happen to you, even if it takes a year to reach your goal.
How to Get Big Muscles #2 – Work Out Different Body Parts
I know it may be tempting to only work out the upper body. We want to get that shirt poppin’ chest. But it’s wise to stick with different muscle groups rather than continuously doing the same muscle over and over again. For example, you may want to work out your biceps and triceps on Monday, work out your pecs and chest on Tuesday, rest on Wednesday, work out your abdominals on Thursday, and by the time Friday hits, your arm muscles will have at least a good 3 days rest before packing the weight again. This is will help you get most of your muscle growth.
How to Get Big Muscles #3 – Eating Correctly
Food plays a major part in muscle gain. Your muscles need nutrients for it to burn off of something every time you work out. It’s best to eat more than 3 meals during the day so your body is always burning something, anything, at a steady rate. The most important ingredient for muscle gain is undoubtedly protein. You can make some protein shakes for yourself but after a while they can get pretty nasty. The best way is to get protein from natural foods like beef, chicken, turkey, fish, and another other kinds of low-fat meat you can find.
How to get big muscles is something that doesn’t take a snap to do, so try to keep that in the back on your mind. It’s going to take weeks of training, dedication, and mostly discipline on your part. Stay consistent in your work ethics, and force yourself to go to gym even though there will be days where you’ll be tempted to procrastinate and say, “I’ll go tomorrow.” Keep up with this, and before you know it, you’ll have a rock-solid body that chicks will want to get a hold of… oh yeah!
